Shelmerdine

Cellar Door

The Cellar Door is an ideal place to discover the balance and subtlety of our wines. Heathcote's Cambrian red soils are famous for the powerful and intense wines they produce, but it is the cooler, southerly, Merindoc Vineyard at Tooborac with its granitic composition that tempers the blend and truly distinguishes Shelmerdine's Heathcote wines.
The Lusatia Park Vineyard in the Yarra Valley exhibits the refined complexity of cool climate viticulture. The elevated north facing aspect, deep free draining red soils and close planted vines ensure intensely flavoured fruit with perfect acidity derived from long and consistent ripening.
Together Heathcote and The Yarra Valley represent the intensity, refinement and art of Shelmerdine wines that each express their identity through the soils and seasons of their vineyards.

The Gardens

After lunch, why not take a stroll up through the hilly granite landscapes of the vineyards and sugar loaf mountain. Here you will see the breathtaking landscapes that made us fall in love with this land. And perhaps you will too.
